Michael's journey in animal care began during his childhood in Long Island, New York, where his innate connection with animals manifested through rehabilitating injured wildlife. This early passion led him to pursue specialized education at Barry Tech's small animal care program while still in high school, laying the foundation for his future career.

 

After earning his Veterinary Technician License from Penn Foster's Veterinary Technician Program, Michael dedicated himself to mastering advanced rehabilitation techniques. In 2016, he completed specialized training in canine rehabilitation at The University of Tennessee, marking the beginning of his focus on rehabilitation therapy. As the Lead Rehabilitation Practitioner at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists, he has pioneered a comprehensive rehabilitation program centered around state-of-the-art hydrotherapy and underwater treadmill therapy.

 

Michael's expertise extends beyond traditional rehabilitation methods. He holds certifications in penn-hip and pain management, allowing him to provide targeted treatment plans for each patient. His rehabilitation arsenal includes advanced modalities such as hydrotherapy, orthotics, cold laser therapy, neuromuscular electric stimulation, and therapeutic massage. The underwater treadmill program has become particularly successful in helping patients recover from surgeries, manage chronic conditions, and improve mobility.
